Director Biography
Simon François is an editor of thirty-three years old. In 2013, he was the author of a documentary short film called "The mirror of Van Gogh", in partnership with the Van Gogh Institute in Auvers-sur-Oise. Recently he wrote and directed his first short film, "Blue notes", already selected in international festivals.

With a drifting society in the background, "Blue notes" is intended as an allegory of a system that turns humans into molluscs, an offbeat tale about a social mechanism, witch the absurdity is only matched by the political cynicism that have set it up. A realistic story in the eyes of the author, and the will to slip a note of fantasy and humor in it.

A genre film, but also a film mixing the genres, from film noir to B-Series, between social criticism and bitter fable, "Blue notes" are now waiting to be played.
